New cafe from Doris Metropolitan owners hits Rice Village
Bādolina Bakery & Café opened in Rice Village June 3.
The bakery is owned by Sof Hospitality, which also owns Doris Metropolitan and will open modern Israeli restaurant Hamsa adjacent to Bādolina at 5555 Morningside Drive.
The company calls Bādolina a brain child of pastry chef Michal Michaeli.
“Bādolina is a true reflection of Michal’s talents. It’s grand and impossible to showcase through just one segment of our restaurant (Doris Metropolitan). We’ve spent a lot of time conceptualizing the bakery and its offerings,” said Ben Eli, CEO of Sof Hospitality. “It’s a culmination of the team’s experience working in restaurants from all over the world.”
The bakery is 1,500 square feet and serves bread, sweet and savory pastries, custom cakes, desserts, coffee and more.
